You may think that balance is really only important for the elderly or for particular athletes, for example, dancers, gymnasts etc. However, balance training is highly important for every one of all abilities and ages as it can reduce injury and enhance performance. Balance is defined as the communication between your mind and your muscles in order to gain stability. Balance falls under the same category as flexibility, core strength, and mobility which are all required for ideal functioning and should therefore become part of your regular training routine.
